Day 156, Thur. Sep. 6 , 2018, Moved to Liverpool, NS. Chiro and lube appointment, new maps.

It  was a tough choice to make, but somebody had to make it. We had a chiropractor appointment for Ruth at 2:30 in the afternoon, and that meant  of the two possible ways to reach Liverpool, which way to go? Preferably the road around the coast through the towns of the historic Acadians, including Yarmouth, and some of the islands off the coast would have been the most visual way. That route however , even moving along without long stops would have been 3-4 hours minimum with the trailer.  The other route, not so picturesque, but dotted with lakes and marshes was the cross peninsula route that goes through Milton and the entrance to Kijimkijuk National Park. So in order to expedite time and keep Ruth in as good health as possible, we took the latter. We will see  some  of the other route from Liverpool  this week.

It was hot today here and at 85 F and sunny, the natives felt it more than we did. Setting up the trailer was hot. But we got it accomplish just after noon. Brian’s Mom and Dad  (campground owners) are looking to sell the business at “Fisherman’s Cove” soon. It takes a lot of work to keep these up and in good shape.

Looking out toward the Atlantic side of Nova Scotia

Cirrus was the rule today.

After the chiropractor treatment we did nail down some places in town after stopping at the visitor’s center and ”Mary” helped point the way to the grocery, the truck lubrication place, the ATM machine we could use, and the necessary laundromat which will need before we move on.  The Visitor’s Center is right by the Cove where  the town is centered.

That is pretty much it, and as the post office is adjacent to the campground, I can send out some post cards in a timely manner.

So a few previous days photos , the campsite and that’s about it for this one. We will have the cameras out tomorrow I am sure.
